Hi Tommy, I have been advocating for a change to the checkout function. I and many others believe that this one change will elevate Flatsome to a whole new level!

FIRST DRAFT
What do you guys think about this layout? We need to keep the functionality that's already there, since we use default WooCommerce functionality for this. It's only the layout that's going to change.

Tommy Jacobs Vedvik: looks great

Tommy Jacobs Vedvik: Good. Clean and simple. I like it.

Tommy Jacobs Vedvik: That's pretty solid. Good job.

Tommy Jacobs Vedvik: Hi is it too late to give my opnion? What about the mobile view? On Shopify mobile view, the shopping cart(items and pricing etc) are COLLAPSED AT TOP, which is very good. It is clean and simple and cuatomers can exapnd it to double check everything before hitting paying! I got more customers finishing payment on the mobile. Browsing on smalle screen device is more difficult and crucial than big ones. Please please have this in consideration. Thanks😀

It might be worth having the option to have behavior differ between mobile and desktop.

multi step is not good because it takes too much time of consumer ... single page checkout is best option ...
Piotr Smirnow
Abdul Samad: That's why we should have multiple versions of the checkout to choose from. We can test what works best for us. For me, multistep works. Big corporations like Amazon, Shopify, etc spend millions of $$ on usability tests. In all the ecommerce case studies and optimisation tips multistep checkout is #1.

Piotr Smirnow: In developing countries like Pakistan users are not much aware the usage of ecommerce yet ... trends are increasing here for ecommerce usage ... so we need to keep simple as possible inresult new users can learn easily ... even people here dont know about cart page ... so we skip cart page ... simple BUY NOW button which redirects to Checkout page ... only Name number address fields are displayed with amount and place order button ...
Piotr Smirnow
Abdul Samad: I see Your point. That's why it's best to have few checkout pages to choose from.
Mahmudul Alam Mithun
Piotr Smirnow: right but some cases "one page checkout" is good for some niches. Younger people are busy and they need secure and fast checkout.
Adkham Rakhmatullaev
Abdul Samad: Completely Agree multistep is rediciluosly long taking! 1 Page is enough add to cart, checkout, fill the address place the order, thank you page with order details! That’s simple! It’s frustrating when it comes to go trough few pages and it’s really time consuming!
Piotr Smirnow
Would be great to have the option to change quantity of items at checkout. In my stores i skip cart page and direct people straight to checkout. This way my conversions are a little better, less steps for the user.
Tommy Jacobs Vedvik
Piotr Smirnow: Would been nice :) We need to use the default WooCommerce functionality for this for plugin compatibility, but hopefully they add this in the future.
Piotr Smirnow
Tommy Jacobs Vedvik: I see. Thanks!

Please make this optional. Wouldn't want to implement without CRO tests
Tommy Jacobs Vedvik
Nathan Horgan: It will be 100% optional. You can choose between this, normal, and focused checkout style
